This morning, we hitched a ride on the open-air Marine Reach truck to church! We joined the team from New Zealand who are here on their Outreach, to worship at a C3 Church. The church was similar in style to our church, CCO, and the Associate Pastor preached on LOVE. As always, the people were VERY friendly, as they flash you a smile and say Bula! The church was a primitive building, and I could see the ground beneath the floor boards, but the worship was alive!
After church, we went to the house where we will be staying, and took pictures. We were able to get some pics of a bedroom and other areas, although the house is occupied right now. We have posted pics of the kitchen, hallway, a bathroom, porch, meeting room, and the exterior of the house. We will have a Fijian cook, when we come in April. The house is not air conditioned, but there are fans. It might be a good idea to bring your own personal battery-operated fan (with extra batteries), to use in the house and in the village of Natunuku!
After that, we walked to the mall for a coffee at Gloria Jeans (an American company), then to McDonalds for lunch! Then we had to come home to pack up our bags. Tomorrow, we are going to a resort to explore it for the team. We will stay overnight there on Monday night, and we fly home on Tuesday!
There are pictures of the church and the house, and some cute village boys in the photo gallery!
