Bula to the team!
This morning, we had a time of intercession/ prayer at one of their 3 YWAM houses. We had about a 30 minute walk to get there, at 8:30 am. Even in the morning, a walk can get you hot and sweaty! But when we arrived, we had plenty of time to cool down, as the Fijians love to sit and talk! We prayed for our trip in April and for everyone's personal needs, too. After our time of prayer, we had Morning Tea, which was tea, instant coffee and cookies. Then we sat and talked until lunch time, which was rice with a bean/pork gravy over the top, with a side of Kim Chee! The cook was our Korean host, Daesoeng. He is married to our Filipina host, Rowena, who is a dentist: a delightful couple! They will be our April Team hosts, when we come.
In the pictures, there is a little girl named Sophia, by the map. She is the daughter of the house hosts, where we are staying. Their names are Kimberley (from Texas) and Marcos (from Brazil). You will get to meet them in April, as well.
When we returned to our "home", Marcos made us some delicious papaya/ banana smoothies! There will be Brazillian food for dinner tonight! And tomorrow, Don and I will make them a Mexican meal.
So tomorrow is the Big Day...we will be visiting the village where we will go in April! We must wear the Marine Reach uniform, to go to the village. Don will wear the suva and I will wear the scarf sarong, and both of us will wear our new Marine Reach Polo shirts. Everyone on the team will be getting these outfits, when we come in April!
This is all for now! We will report on the village tomorrow night.
